This session provides an overview of graphic novels with criteria  for teachers to make informed decisions about selecting these text types for use in the classroom. Includes an exploration of the unique disciplinary literacy practices with examples of how these multimodal text types may provide enhanced engagement in literacies to expand access for content learning.
